How is your money spent?

Lisa Pearson and her son,Luke Griffin, who is in his manual wheelchair, at homeThe money we
receive through donations, fundraising and sponsorship allows the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign to fund
vital research and
help thousands of people across the UK who are affected by muscle disease. Without your generous donations and continuous support we would not be able to do any of this.

Here is just a sample of what your donations help to fund:

£15... gives parents an hour with a physiotherapist specialising in neuromuscular conditions, teaching valuable muscle stretching techniques that could keep their child mobile for longer.

£30... funds an hour of world-class research into muscle disease.

£50... helps a Muscular Dystrophy Campaign Care Advisor to provide the practical and emotional support people with muscle disease need immediately after a diagnosis.

£100... funds the cost of the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign’s helpline for a day, giving advice and support to families who have recently received a diagnosis.

£1,200... buys a specially adapted computer.

£1,630... funds staff with specialist knowledge of muscle disease at one of our Muscle Centres for a week, including physiotherapy, medical advice, support and occupational therapy.
